You are eligible for a special update for you current version of I’m a user of a Seagate or Western Digital device with pre-installed ![]() Paragon Software does say in their FAQ that you may be eligible for an upgrade from WD or Seagate’s older versions of NTFS for Mac. They have a link to a more recent version of Paragon NTFS Driver for Mac (15.9.328, ) on My Passport Wireless Pro's download page. Keep in mind that the new NTFS for Mac looks to be compatible with macOS 10.14 where WD’s software lists compatibility up to 10.12. Western Digital also has a link to an older version of NTFS for Mac. While it is not free, it appears to be the most compatible option going forward. Im using iBoysoft NTFS for Mac, which is cheap (USD19.95 for a lifetime license) and great. So if you dont want to reformat the external drive, it seems that you can only choose a paid NTFS for Mac tool. The first is to use the paid software from Paragon Software. But most of them are open-source and no one is compatible with the latest macOS Catalina now. Also, some people I know are still able to use the previous version of Paragon NTFS on their Venturar 13.0, but for some reason, I was forced to seek the newest software from Paragon a few weeks very depressing as now i don't know what software to use for NTFS for Ventura 13.2.It looks like there are two options. Uninstalled the Paragon, called apple again, tried again to resolve the issue, no explanation, had to do a factory install of OS from Apple via recovery mode again! Paragon does not have an answer, but obviously they have a glitch. I loaded it again, followed all steps and immediately got the greyed out internet signal with an explanation mark going through it. Paragon said it was compatible and I wanted to believe them because I have been running Paragon NTFS for the past 4 years. (Thank goodness I had time machine updated on my Mac). Solution: A factory Install of entire OS from Apple via recovery mode. BUT it corrupted something on my MacBookAir so that I as soon as it was loaded, I was unable to connect to the Internet, no matter what Apple or I did. Paragon NTFS for Ventura 13.0 was easily downloaded and was working. Do not mount automatically if you want to manually control access to a volume.Mount in read-only if you need to access sensitive data without modifying any files.Enable spotlight indexing if you want instant Spotlight search, and if you want to view the detailed info about volume used space: how much space is occupied by applications, music, video, photos, etc.Save last access time if you need macOS to recall every file you access on a selected volume.Enable ownership and specify which users are allowed to access each newly-created file or folder, along with their read/write/execute privileges.Familiar interface that is similar to Apple’s Disk Utility.The transfer rate is the same as with the native HFS file system.
